Wi-Fi and Smart Technologies for Shrimptons Creek Corridor

The City of Ryde (Council) is seeking quotations for the design, supply and installation of sportsfield lighting at Meadowbank Park No. 9, Meadowbank. City of Ryde is currently undertaking a $5 million dollar investment for the public space spanning Shrimptons Creek Corridor. Focused on Elouera Reserve, Quandong Reserve and Wilga Park zones. To complement this project, Council through its Smart Cities initiative is looking to deliver public spaces that are ‘smart and connected’, benefiting the thriving Macquarie Park business community, emerging residential community and Council. As part of this initiative, City of Ryde is looking to provide the following capabilities to the community: · Deliverable 1: Public Wi Fi and infrastructure that enables Deliverable 2 and 3 capabilities at Elouera Reserve, Quandong Reserve and Wilga Park; · Deliverable 2: CCTV surveillance to promote and provide safer communities in all three public spaces; and · Deliverable 3: Smart Technologies to benefit the community and Council e.g. leveraging the benefits of such technologies including ‘The Internet of Things’ (IoT). The Council is seeking innovative solutions from suitable qualified contractors for its Smart Cities initiative to deliver these three (3) key capabilities. The proposed solutions must clearly outline benefits to the community and the necessary investment for budgetary purposes. After the completion of this EOI process, the council will go to market via RFT with a specified set of requirements.
