Transport for NSW introduced the Port Botany Landside Improvement Strategy (PBLIS) to reduce traffic in and around the port in 2010. The system was developed for Port Botany specifically to address the congestion issues in and around the port. The system was purpose developed for Port Botany. Transport for NSW now seeks proposals from suppliers to implement a new solution that satisfies its requirements. The requirements are broken into two sections, Rail requirements and Road requirements. Proposals must address both rail and road requirements. This RFP contains the requirements for the: Rail Operational Performance Management component of the OPM solution framework, including without limitation: • Regulation and violations calculations; • Rail Operations and Live Running requirements; • Data storage and reporting requirements; and • Stakeholder engagement and data exchange. • Data Collection • Forecasting for dynamic operations management of port windows using a Decision Support System (DSS) (expandable to IMT’s and cargo consolidation locations).
