Tender 27 Managed Desktop Computers Bureau of Meteorology (Melbourne, VIC)
Description:	The Bureau has standardised on the types and configurations of desktop and laptop computers it purchases as part of its Managed Desktop (MDT) policy. In addition, the Bureau has adopted a Standard Operating Environment (SOE). The SOE provides a standard desktop interface and software configuration for all users. The Bureau makes MDT and SOE purchases progressively as requirements arise and usually seeks competitive quotations from Endorsed Suppliers. To facilitate this process, the Bureau posts quotations from suppliers on its Intranet and these are updated monthly. These are referred to as "Value Added Resellers" and does not confer any preference by the Bureau other than providing convenient access to quotations by Bureau staff.
