R&D Tax Concession

R&D Tax Concession is a broad-based, market driven tax concession which allows companies to deduct up to 125% of qualifying expenditure incurred on R&D activities when lodging their corporate tax return. A 175% Incremental (Premium) Tax Concession and R&D Tax Offset are also available in certain circumstances.

For companies with a standard fiscal year wishing to apply for AusIndustry's R&D Tax Concession for 2004-05 the deadline to apply for registration is 30 April.

Tender 01 Interpretation of Hyperspectral data Primary Industries and Resources SA (Adelaide, SA)
Description:	Engage the services of a contractor specialising in geological hyperspectral remote sensing to analyse the spectral signatures on an existing dataset and offer an interpretation for the surface geology. The project is divided into two parts. The contractor will be supplied with calibrated, atmospherically corrected reflectance data to work with. Interpreted seamless mineral maps and seamless data are the expected outcomes from these data. It is imperative that "off the shelf" software and hardware be used throughout the project. PIRSA staff will coordinate and quality control outputs and collaborate with the contractor to produce a series of products relevant to explorers targeting specific styles of mineral alteration in the region.

Description:	Rail Corporation New South Wales (RailCorp) is embarking on a program to implement a new integrated ticketing and fare payment system on stations called Tcard that will permit customers to use a smart card to access all transport facilities, including: the CityRail network of 304 stations (including the Airport Link Line); the State Transit Authority fleet of buses and ferries the Bus and Coach Association fleet of buses; private ferries; Sydney Monorail; Sydney Light Rail. Rolling out of smart card equipment to CityRail's stations is a challenging aspect of the project and requires RailCorp to implement electrical, communications and minor building works (the "Early Works") to enable the Tcard Contractor- Integrated Transit Solutions Ltd (ITSL) to install the new smart card equipment at stations.
