This Week’s New Tenders (42 New)
Australian Innovations Acknowledged as World Leaders
Two Australian-developed information and communications technology (ICT) solutions have been recognised as world leaders at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA). A sophisticated retail visitor tracking system and a risk assessment tool for biologists have both been honoured with APICTA awards at a ceremony in Chiang Mai, Thailand on Sunday, 19 February 2006. Australian retail intelligence specialist Beonic, winner of an iAward in 2005 was announced the winner of the Applications and Infrastructure Tools category for its Traffic Insight system. A second iAward winner in 2005, Dymex-Climex, developed by Hearne Scientific / CSIRO, is a unique model-building tool developed to assist biologists to carry out risk assessments and management of invasive species in agricultural and natural systems.
