This Week's New Tenders (21 New)
Building Australian ICT skills
The federal Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts (DCITA) will fund the creation of an open-access, national ICT skills tracking and monitoring system, based on the Victorian model, to help bolster ICT skills.
The move comes as ICT Minister Senator Helen Coonan released the report from the ICT skills working group - Building Australian ICT Skills - which also outlines a number of recommendations. The report includes a review of the ability to accurately forecast future ICT workforce demand, the fit between industry skill needs and existing training, and possible options for better forecasting the future workforce needs of industry.
Strategic Guide to e-Procurement
Interesting to look at this Government Guide to e-procurement from a vendor perspective ... "This Strategic Guide to e-Procurement outlines approaches to the automation of procurement processes typically undertaken by Australian Government agencies. The Guide also provides tools and case studies to inform agencies how e-procurement can assist them to increase efficiency, and improve their productivity and accountability."
