This Week's New Tenders (40 New)
$1.965 million for twelve new e-business projects
Twelve e-business projects worth $1.965 million were announced by the Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, Senator Helen Coonan, as part of the Information Technology Online (ITOL) program.
Since 1996, the Government has allocated more than $15.4 million to 131 innovative ITOL projects across a range of industry sectors and geographic regions. ITOL grants of up to $200,000 are awarded to encourage businesses, particularly small-to-medium sized enterprises, to adopt e-commerce solutions.
Connecting Victorians to eGovernment Projects
The 2006-07 State Budget delivers more than $800 million in commitments to ICT research and a range of eGovernment initiatives to improve public transport, law enforcement, education and environmental management.
The Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Marsha Thomson, said the Bracks Government was investing in important ICT infrastructure to create jobs, connect communities and make Victoria a great place to live, work and raise a family.
