This Week's New Tenders (49 New)
Sold Ice to Eskimos Lately?
On November 8th, The Australian will celebrate Australia’s finest sales people, as the inaugural National Excellence in Sales Awards is launched.
The prestigious National Excellence in Sales Awards will be a vehicle for employers to embrace as we profile those participants in the sales arena that consistently excel and encapsulate those undefinable qualities that have made them the best in their profession. The Australian encourages people to not only take part in this prestigious event but to recognise those within the sales community that are notable and diverse in their abilities. The awards will encompass 14 awards across 7 industry categories: IT, Telecommunications, FMCG, Property, Healthcare, Finance, Travel and Automotive, and each category winner will be judged for the Overall Sales Person of The Year Award. The awards will be presented on Wednesday, November 8 at an awards dinner in Sydney. If you believe you or a colleague excels within one of these areas, lodge your nomination online.
Are you involved in the WA ICT Industry?
The Department of Industry and Resources (DoIR) is calling on Western Australian ICT companies and research organisations to participate in two exciting projects.
Industry Audit: Information is needed from local ICT organisations regarding WA’s ICT research and development and product and service capabilities. The information will help DoIR develop strategies that will foster the further development of a thriving WA ICT industry. Project Connect ICT: Project Connect ICT is a service provided by the Industry Capability Network that links local ICT companies with the purchasing departments of large WA, Australian and international projects. Funded by DoIR, Project Connect will be launched in September 2006.
Participating companies could win $1,500 worth of business travel or development advice – plus 12 bottles of WA wine just by registering!
EFIC Headway
If you are a small to medium sized exporter, additional finance may now be available with the recent launch of EFIC Headway. EFIC Headway is a guarantee from EFIC to a bank. It provides security to a bank to enable it to lend additional funds to you, as a small to medium enterprise (SME) exporter, without requiring additional security from you.
The product has been specially designed to meet your needs when facing a working capital shortage while growing your business. EFIC Headway is available as an extension to facilities from your existing bank and supports general export funding rather than a specific export transaction or contract.
Guide to limiting supplier liability in ICT contracts
Senator Helen Coonan, recently released a Guide to limiting supplier liability in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) contracts with Australian Government agencies, and an accompanying quick reference publication.
While the publications are mainly to help Australian Government agencies implement the ICT liability policy, they will also help ICT suppliers understand how the policy will be implemented.
