This Week's New Tenders (15 New)
Feds dangle $878m net carrot
The Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, Senator Helen Coonan, called for Expressions of Interest from industry for larger scale infrastructure projects under the Australian Government's $878 million Broadband Connect program.
Senator Coonan said she hoped the new projects would link with other government subsidised projects under the $1 billion Connect Australia program - a fund which came out of talks with the Nationals to ensure the passing of laws allowing the full sale of Telstra.
Australian Export Trends
China is still top of the pops as the market where Australian exporters are most likely to increase their orders over the next 12 months. However, a key development has been a sharp jump in export orders to the Middle East.
