The auDA Foundation is a charitable trust that was established by .au Domain Administration Limited (auDA) to promote and encourage education and research activities that will enhance the utility of the Internet for the benefit of the Australian community. Industry Cooperative Innovation Program (ICIP) is a merit based grants program aimed at encouraging business-to-business cooperation on innovation projects that enhance productivity, growth and international competitiveness in Australian industries. Consultancy Services – Research and Report on Track and Trace Systems used in the Supply of IVIg

National Blood Authority (Canberra, ACT)

Description:The National Blood Authority (NBA) is seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to research and report on track and trace systems used in the supply of Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIg) products, and to make a recommendation on the most suitable system to use for a pilot project, as further described in this Request for Tender (RFT). The NBA expects that the development of an effective track and trace system will enable it to strengthen its product management capabilities, including its ability to manage supply shortages. The NBA also expects to be able to strengthen its capacity to predict demand more accurately thereby minimising the risks of clinical, financial and supply consequences arising from under estimating the required product volumes/mix. Inventory management issues in the supply chain could also be more quickly identified and managed more efficiently as a result of the NBA having access to, and ownership of, real-time data on inventory levels, inventory movements, product usage/expiry/wastage and the ability to share such data with other stakeholders who assist in blood products supply-chain management.
