auDA Foundation Grants
The auDA Foundation is a charitable trust that was established by .au Domain Administration Limited (auDA) to promote and encourage education and research activities that will enhance the utility of the Internet for the benefit of the Australian community. It is a grant scheme that will provide financial support for projects that satisfy the objectives of the auDA Foundation Charter. auDA Foundation will accept applications for grants from 8 May 2006 to 16 June 2006.
Industry Cooperative Innovation Program (ICIP)
Industry Cooperative Innovation Program (ICIP) is a merit based grants program aimed at encouraging business-to-business cooperation on innovation projects that enhance productivity, growth and international competitiveness in Australian industries. The program has the particular focus of meeting strategic industry needs such as those identified through Action Agendas and supports projects which deliver industry wide benefits. Round 2 of ICIP closes on 15 June 2006.
Media Release - VENTURING TOWARDS FAR GREATER INVESTMENT IN INNOVATION
Innovative Australian companies with strong growth potential will be the beneficiaries of major tax changes in the venture capital sector which will exempt investors from income and capital gains tax on eligible investments made in early stage investment vehicles. Australian Industry Minister, Ian Macfarlane, has detailed three reforms in the venture capital sector to stimulate greater investment in early stage innovation and commercialisation of Australian products and services.
