Tender 12 Provision of a High Availability Data Storage System and Associated Services Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	The Australian Institute for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies, (AIATSIS) currently maintains 40tb of data storage facilities, containing more than 650,000 data files that represent digitised collection objects. These very large data files are of audio recordings, photographs, video and motion pictures, related information and documents. AIATSIS is seeking to engage the services of a suitably qualified company to provide replacement hardware, installation and commissioning services to replace the current storage system and its attendant infrastructure. This replacement system is initially projected to require a 50-60tb capacity, but with a potential to increase to 145tb over five years.

Description:	The Library is seeking proposals for the supply of serials and related services. Serials covered by this proposal have been divided into four markets – Australasia, Europe, the Americas and the United Kingdom. Potential service providers may submit proposals for each of the four markets separately or they may submit combined proposals. The University of Sydney Library consists of multiple library sites located on the Camperdown, Darlington, Camden, Conservatorium, Cumberland and Rozelle campuses. The Library has a central technical services unit located at the Fisher Library on the Camperdown campus, which is currently divided into four Resource Teams, each undertaking acquisitions, cataloguing and serials management functions for their allocated subject areas. Serials accessioning and claiming activities are also performed at various branch libraries. The Library uses the Innovative Interfaces integrated library management system.
