Tender 02 Central Budget Management System Redevelopment Project – Public Briefing Department of Finance and Deregulation (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	The Department of Finance and Deregulation (Finance) invites interested parties to a Public Briefing following an announcement by the Government in the 2010-2011 Federal Budget, that it will redevelop the Central Budget Management System (CBMS). Finance will be using externally provisioned products and services to assist it in implementing a redeveloped CBMS. Tender 05 Technical Security Advisor Australian Taxation Office (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	Commonwealth agencies are required to maintain an appropriate level of security protection for each agency’s functions, resources and information, as provided for in the Australian Government Protective Security Manual, the Australian Government Information Security Manual and ASIO (Australian Security Intelligence Organisation) directives. The Tax Office has installed SCEC (Security Construction and Equipment Committee) endorsed Type 1 security alarm systems and equipment in the majority of sites with commercial grade security alarm systems installed at the remaining sites. It is an Australian Government and Tax Office requirement that the design, installation and integration requirements of high security Type I security systems and equipment installed in Tax Office premises are determined in consultation with and be supervised by a SCEC endorsed consultant, as an external and independent technical security advisor. To ensure that a high level of security protection is maintained, the Tax Office proposes to engage a SCEC endorsed service provider to provide independent expert technical advice and assistance as required to design, test and commission and oversee the supply, installation, maintenance and monitoring of SCEC/ASIO approved Type 1 security systems and equipment.

Tender 13 Airservices Australia and the Department of Defence Joint RFI for Future Civil and Military Air Traffic Management Department of Defence - CDG (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	Airservices Australia (Airservices) and the Department of Defence (Defence) both have Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems that are approaching end of life. Both Airservices and Defence have commenced planning for renewal or replacement of their respective system. With both systems facing a major upgrade and/or replacement there is a real opportunity to align the replacement of both systems with the aim of creating synergies to deliver a range of operational and financial efficiencies. The harmonisation of the ATM systems is supported through the directions set in the Government’s 2009 Aviation White Paper, where it has been recognised that increased harmonisation of civil and military ATM systems and services will provide operational benefits and efficiencies for airspace users, both military and civil, as well as to Airservices and Defence. Whilst the existing ATM systems are relatively advanced when compared to today’s technology both Airservices and Defence are looking to develop greater flexibility in the maintenance and operation of any future ATM solution. It is anticipated that this flexibility will allow for an evolving systems architecture and evolving airspace management which will see much greater levels of systems integration, data exchange and user driven capabilities.

Tender 15 Provision of Methodology and Tools for an Evaluation Framework for Science and Innovation Investment in WA Department of Commerce (Sydney, NSW)
Description:	It is anticipated that a Request for Proposal will be advertised in June 2010. The successful outcome from any consequent contract will be the implementation of the evaluation framework’s methodology and tools necessary to guide science and innovation investments by the Western Australian government. Tender 17 Concept Technology Demonstrator for Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Training Department of Defence (Sydney, NSW)

Tender 18 UNSW Storage Supplier Panel University of New South Wales (Sydney, NSW)
Description:	UNSW seeks submissions from vendors wishing to participate in the UNSW Storage Supplier Panel and, optionally, submit proposals for the provision of storage solutions meet UNSW's High Performance VMware Hosting Storage and low cost high capacity Research Storage needs. UNSW currently operates over 700 terra bytes of storage within a dual site enterprise SAN installation. UNSW's annual expenditure on storage is expected to be between $2 and $4million per annum over the next 3 to 5 years. The required VMware and Research storage will initially provide a further 400 terra bytes of storage (VMware 150TB and Research 250TB). Growth is thereafter expected to be in the order of 25% to 50% per annum for VMware Hosting and 30% to 100% for high capacity Research needs.

Description:	The HealthSMART program has a requirement to introduce smartcards to provide two-factor authentication for access to its Clinical System and other VPHS computer systems. At the same time, the Victorian Government has a similar requirement for two-factor authentication for access to computer systems hosted by CenITex or a department prior to transferring its hosting operations to CenITex. An international standards based approach has been adopted for the specification of requirements. The standards apply equally to HealthSMART and government departments and agencies. In this context, HealthSMART has an immediate requirement for Smartcards to be used with the Clinical Systems, and has completed a Proof of Concept of such use. Consequently, HealthSMART’s needs are well defined. Victorian Government departments and agencies have a broad requirement for Smartcard access to systems.

PTA requires the services of an experienced tunnel monitoring contractor (the Monitoring Contractor) to implement a crack and lining deformation monitoring system that initially is to provide baseline data for 12 months prior to the Perth City Link - Rail project construction commencing, then during the Perth City Link -Rail and -Bus Projects and beyond, over an envisaged total period of 8 years.
