Description:	The Department is seeking to set up a panel of providers who are able to deliver applications development and maintenance services on an as needed basis. Tender 02 Telephony Solution to Replace the Existing PABX System (Amended - New Date) Department of Defence - CIOG (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	The existing PABX is located in Building R3 and provides telephony services to a total of eight (8) buildings in the Russell Hill precinct. The PABX is at the end of its useful and economic life and needs to be replaced. The successful tenderer will be required to: (a) supply, install and commission a replacement solution, including peripheral equipment, to the standards laid out in the Statement of Requirements (SOR); (b) provide documentation (including engineering design) as per SOR; (c) undertake customer data collection and consultation; (d) program and manage client applications; (e) demonstrate full operational system testing on site prior to commissioning of the new PABX. This will also include full operational testing of all system peripherals; (f) Demonstrate 100% functionality testing of all installed handsets; (g) Deliver training to technical administrative and user staff; (h) Provide ten (10) consecutive days of on-site technical and user support; (i) Provide thirty (30) consecutive days defect-free period for the installed system; (j) Provide 4th level maintenance support agreement with a minimum of 12 months warranty on all supplied equipment; (k) Provide (as an option) a five year support plan for software upgrades, bug fixes, patches and new releases; and (l) Decommission and dispose of the old PABX system in R3 two weeks after the commissioning of the new solution.

Tender 03 Scoping Project for the Development of a Comprehensive Food Database Department of Health and Ageing (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	At the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) meeting on 29 November 2008, all states and territories agreed to the National Partnership Agreement on Preventive Health (the Partnership Agreement). Under the Partnership Agreement, $1 million will be made available over four years for the Industry Partnership initiative. The Department will support the implementation of the initiative through the development and funding of ‘soft infrastructure’ including the monitoring and surveillance of nutrient consumption patterns. In order to ensure that the monitoring and surveillance of nutrient consumption patterns under the initiative are of a high standard and quality, a Comprehensive Food Database (the Database) will be developed. It is intended that the Database will contain up to date nutrient profile data on a large range of products from the food manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and food service sectors.

Description:	The Garrison and Estate Management System (GEMS) has been identified as a critical enabler for the building maintenance and garrison services elements of the Non-Equipment Procurement stream of the Defence Strategic Reform Program (SRP). Achieving the GEMS deliverables as scheduled is very important so as not to delay the SRP reforms and savings. The Solution Implementer is required to deliver the GEMS solution by December 2012. The objectives of the GEMS solution are to: a) Support the stewardship of the Defence Estate and the delivery of Garrison Services and to improve decision making through the provision of: i) a robust and reliable repository of quantitative and qualitative information and data on the Defence Estate and Garrison Services, linked to appropriate corporate systems; ii) business intelligence and analytical tools drawing on quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategic planning, performance management and other estate and garrison support functions provided to a wide audience using statistical, graphical, visual, spatial and any other appropriate tools; b) Assist Defence to achieve Strategic Reform Program reforms and savings in relation to the Defence Estate and Garrison Services; c) Introduce and support industry best practice business processes; d) Automate business processes to provide greater business effectiveness and efficiency; e) Improve information sharing across areas involved in estate and garrison services; f) Facilitate exchange of electronic information between Defence and Defence contractors; and g) Form a component of the Defence Enterprise Resource Planning environment and be supported in the Defence Infrastructure Environment Standard Operating Environment.
