CONROY - RESEARCH TO HELP DEFINE AUSTRALIAN CYBER-SAFETY ENVIRONMENT

A new research project will explore cyber-safety and cyber-security issues facing Australian children. "The online environment offers a world of opportunity for young people and families, but it is important they are empowered to confront emerging problems, such as security of personal information and cyber-bullying," the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Senator Stephen Conroy said.

Tender 03 Supply of High Resolution Earth Observation Imagery for National Carbon Accounting Toolbox Department of Climate Change (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	As part of the NCAT implementation, the Department requires orthorectified, high spatial resolution (≤ 5m) multispectral imagery over the Australian landscape. The imagery will be used to locate and digitise the extent of forest areas using the NCAT web mapping software. For this purpose the Department requires consistent quality, high contrast imagery to allow visual interpretation of forest plantations by web users. For visual interpretation application 1 to 2.5m data is optimal. The Department expects to refresh the imagery on a needs basis to provide ongoing support to CPRS implementation.
