ACMA - PROPOSES RELEASE OF SPECTRUM FOR INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS

The Australian Communications and Media Authority released a discussion paper proposing the release of spectrum in the 5.9 GHz band to permit the introduction of intelligent transport systems (ITS) for road users in Australia. The ACMA is proposing that spectrum would be allocated on a shared basis with incumbent services.

Tender 03 Business Analyst / Data Modeller Australian Taxation Office (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	The Commonwealth represented by and acting through the Australian Taxation Office (Tax Office) invites Tenders for the provision of suitably qualified personnel (Specified Personnel) to work at the Tax Office's Canberra premises. Standard Business Reporting (SBR) is a Treasury led multi-agency initiative that aims to reduce the reporting burden on Australian businesses. Tender 17 RF/ELATS Support Defence Materiel Organisation (Sydney, NSW)
Description:	This Request for Proposal (RFP) is the first stage of a proposed procurement process for the acquisition of ISS for RF/ELATS. RF/ELATS is a complex avionics testing system used for the fault finding, maintenance and calibration of F/A-18 Hornet Electronic Warfare equipment and S70B-2 Seahawk avionic flight critical systems. Tender 22 Provision of Services of a Specialist MATLAB Programmer Department of Defence - DSG (Adelaide, SA)
Description:	Under the direction of DSTO staff, implement Image Processing algorithms, and contribute to improving and developing the DSTO's in-house developed Generic Real-Time Automatic Target Acquisition System (A2G GRATAS), used for modelling and simulation of Imaging Infrared Missile Seekers. The proposed work programme is: Using the A2G GRATAS tool, complete a study of real-life tactical data including publication-ready summaries and graphics. Specific Image Processing modules developed to process this data will be carefully incorporated into the software framework of the tool; enhance and modify the A2G GRATAS tool towards a Closed-Loop design, allowing it to more effectively interoperate with other DSTO software systems; implement techniques for advancing the functional decomposition of the system's software architecture, enabling conversion of sub-systems to C++ modules and integration of additional C++ sub-systems (using MATLAB tools); implement algorithms to advance DSTO's understanding of sophisticated Imaging Missile systems performance in demanding scenarios; and provide technical support for A2G GRATAS, supporting DSTO Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile Anti-Surface Warfare project team and schedule as directed.
