The Smart Futures Fund is an $80 million Queensland Government investment to support collaborative projects, skills development and innovative research throughout the State.

TANNER - GOVERNMENT 2.0 TASKFORCE LAUNCHES MASHUPAUSTRALIA CONTEST

The Government 2.0 Taskforce has launched the MashupAustralia contest to encourage innovative use of and more open access to public sector information. The contest, which challenges members of the public to take government and other datasets and combine them in innovative ways, will be supported by a ‘mash-up camp’ where Web 2.0 enthusiasts can collaborate and share ideas.

Tender 03 National Online and Telephone Counselling Service (Amended - New Date) Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	Suitably qualified organisations are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to develop and establish a professional 24 hour National Online and 1800 Telephone Counselling Service for anyone in Australia who has experienced, or is at risk of, sexual assault and/ or domestic and family violence. The EOI process is the first step in a two step selection process. Following submission of an EOI, suitably qualified organisations may be invited to apply for funding. Sexual assault and domestic and family violence are among the most pervasive forms of violence, having serious and often devastating consequences for victims, their extended families and the community. The Australian Government has announced that it will establish a telephone and online crisis service for domestic and family violence and sexual assault victims and their families. The new service is intended to provide specialised, experienced and qualified domestic violence and sexual assault counsellors to assess and address issues directly with victims and their families. It will also integrate and co-ordinate with existing services in all States and Territories and offer professional supervision and advice to staff in services in isolated and remote areas.
