CONROY - PRIORITY NATIONAL BROADBAND NETWORK INVESTMENT FOR REGIONAL AUSTRALIA

The Rudd Government announced the first round of regional locations for the $250 million priority rollout of the National Broadband Network. "The Government is moving rapidly to deliver the National Broadband Network and will start work on high-speed infrastructure for an initial six priority regional locations," the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Senator Stephen Conroy, said.

Tender 02 Expert (Economic, Financial and Technical) Consultancy Panel Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	The ACCC is interested in receiving tenders from a wide range of firms or individuals, including those that may only be established in one city. Tender 03 Fair Work Ombudsman Intranet Information Architecture Workplace Authority (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	The Australian Parliament recently passed the Fair Work Bill 2008. A primary goal of the Bill is to efficiently integrate the workplace relations services that currently span seven agencies, to ensure streamlined, accessible services are provided to the public. The process for amalgamating the existing agencies is being managed by the Fair Work Australia Establishment Taskforce (the Taskforce). The Bill establishes Fair Work Australia (FWA) and the FWO (collectively referred to as the FWA agencies). The FWA agencies are to commence operations on 1 July 2009. The Fair Work Ombudsman will replace the following Australian Government agencies: Workplace Ombudsman (WO); and Some of the functions of the Workplace Authority (WPA) (e.g. Workplace Infoline). Currently, intranets exist for the WO and WPA each with their own visual design and information architecture system. The WO and WPA intranets operate on a SharePoint platform and are located on a DEEWR network. The WO intranet is on SharePoint 2007 and WPA intranet is on SharePoint 2003.

Tender 08 Parking Meter Payment via Mobile Phone Woollahra Municipal Council (Double Bay, NSW)

Tender 09 eRecords Program Stage 2 - Reference and Research eRecords (S/DS) Department of Commerce (Sydney, NSW)
Description:	The State Library of NSW has commenced a three year project to create electronic records for collection material currently only accessible through paper based indexes and finding aids. The whole collection consists of approx 120,000 titles (165,000 vols) of which the tender contains 54,000 volumes mainly published overseas between 1830 and 1960 with serial and monographs interfiled. This tender describes the services required by the Library to provide a MARC record for each of 54,000 monographs (Stage 2) held in the S/DS collection. The S/DS sequence is a large octavo collection acquired before 1960 and labelled with the prefix S or DS (interfiled). The collection is largely non-fiction in English with a small percentage in other languages, mainly French or German.

Tender 18 Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Queensland Transport (Brisbane, QLD)
Description:	The LIMS solution will provide a centrally managed repository of materials testing data and a set of reporting and analysis tools that will allow Departmental Materials Services to efficiently transform data into information and information into knowledge. The LIMS application once selected, will contribute to better quality road construction and lower road lifecycle costs. The LIMS project is part of a larger program of work that has been called the State-wide Materials Services Framework (SMSF). LIMS is a major contributor to the benefits that will be delivered by the SMSF program. As part of that program, the department intends to work closer with industry to meet the department’s role of road stewardship. Description:	UTAS seeks business partners to provide it with internal audit and review services from 1/1/2010 through to 31/12/2014. The internal audit program will provide a combination of core compliance, risk-based and improvement focused audit and review activities.
