Tender 08 Supply of Online Survey Software Australian National University (Canberra, ACT)
Description:	The Australian National University is seeking to enter into a Contract with a suitable supplier for the provision of online evaluation software. Proposals are invited from interested companies that can provide highly professional standards in service to a complex tertiary institution with specialist needs. The University wishes to conduct routine online evaluation of learning and teaching in courses. Online administration will be the default approach, with paper administration remaining an option. Description:	The Yarra Ranges Shire Council invites tenders from suitably experienced and resourced parties for the provision of a Managed Backup and Disaster Recovery Solution to significantly improve Council's Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability capabilities, for a term of 3 years. The Council may, at its option, extend the contract for up to 2 periods of 1 year each. The solution must also incorporate a convenient automated offsite backup/restore solution to satisfy the Council's local "normal" non DR data protection and recovery capability. The Council's current DR strategy relies heavily on nightly backup to tape storage. These tapes are shipped to a secondary nearby site in Lilydale which is equipped with a server room, rack and switches. This secondary site provides enough accommodation for approximately 70 users. The Council has a limited capacity of standby and test servers located in this location. Links from the secondary site to head office include a 1GB Laser & 100Mb Microwave link. The microwave link is used for redundancy when the laser link has issues. The laser link has been known to have issues during heavy fog. Tenderers need to detail a comprehensive solution to the configuration contained in Tables A and B and all other sections contained in the Specification (Contract: CT1805).
