ACS - WELCOMES GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSE TO HIGHER EDUCATION REPORT

The Australian Computer Society (ACS) welcomed the Federal Education Minister, Julia Gillard’s initial response to Bradley’s Report on Australia’s higher education system. Description:	The University of Sydney is seeking responses from qualified parties for the provision of an Integrated Rodent Behaviour Analysis System. The Brain & Mind Research Institute (BMRI), which is part of The University of Sydney, is a leading neuroscience institution in Australia. The institute has basic science, translational and clinical laboratories. To continue cutting edge research dedicated to diseases of the brain and mind, the BMRI is looking for tender submissions to supply an Integrated Rodent Behaviour Analysis System which will be used by several research groups to study animal models of major psychiatric illness and neurodegenerative conditions. Respondents will need to be able to customise to a fine point of detail the following system: 32 Station Integrated Rodent Behaviour Analysis System. This system has three parts and one important feature relating to compliance with existing equipment: (i) 32 operant boxes identically equipped; (ii) integrated interface between the operant chambers and power supply/computer; (iii) integrated computer software to control the boxes and record events.
