ACS COMPUTER PROFESSIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
The ACS will award 32 scholarships to members seeking to enrol in its Computer Professional (CP) Educational Program this year.
The scholarships, which will cover half the cost of completing the program, are designed to make the CP Program more accessible to members and contribute to the development of a body of people who have completed this qualification. The ACS CP Program is a world class curriculum of professional development and training set within the context of an individual’s work environment. It seeks to grow professionals into leaders and provide a key point of differentiation in the competitive ICT market.

NAIRN SPEECH - INFORMATION ONLINE CONFERENCE 2007
While e-Government started with mainly one-way and one-to-many forms of communication via relatively static web pages put up by agencies and read by many (and anonymous) people – we have progressed to one-to-one and more personalised interaction – where both parties are known – in a private manner. “e-Government 2.0” is more a many-to-many experience where there is a more collaborative, participative environment (with some degree of anonymous observers in some cases).
COONAN - NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTER OPERATOR ANNOUNCED
The Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, Senator Helen Coonan today welcomed the announcement that Melbourne company Service Stream Solutions Pty Ltd will be the operator of the national Do Not Call Register. “This is a significant step towards reducing the number of annoying unsolicited calls received by many Australians,” Senator Coonan said.
