COONAN - NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTER OPERATOR ANNOUNCED

The Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, Senator Helen Coonan today welcomed the announcement that Melbourne company Service Stream Solutions Pty Ltd will be the operator of the national Do Not Call Register. “This is a significant step towards reducing the number of annoying unsolicited calls received by many Australians,” Senator Coonan said.

Description:	The ABS is seeking a Workforce Management system to assist with managing schedules and workloads for 130-150 staff in Canberra and NSW Office. Tender 22 Unit Fault Recorder Upgrade Eraring Energy (Sydney, NSW)
Description:	The Contract entails all work including, design, supply, manufacture, installation and commissioning of upgraded hardware and software for four unit fault recorders. Generator fault recorders were replaced in 1998. The software and hardware are now antiquated. Tender 25 Relay Service Customer Consultative Committee Australian Communication Exchange Ltd (Brisbane, QLD)
Description:	The National Relay Service (NRS) is an Australia-wide telephone relay service that allows people who are deaf, hearing impaired or speech impaired to communicate with anyone in the community or vice versa. Description:	Queensland Purchasing will be inviting offers from organisations and consortia in March 2007 to establish a Whole-of-Government Panel Arrangement, for the supply of desktop personal computers, portable personal computers, servers, and associated managed services for Queensland Government Agencies. Queensland Purchasing wishes to establish a panel with a limited number of contractors and vendors per hardware category. The proposed categories are defined as either: * Desktop Personal Computers; * Portable Personal Computers ; or * Servers (File and Print) The Service Specification in the Request for Offer incorporates optional managed services associated with the supply, operation and disposal of hardware in the above categories.
