The Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) is seeking an appropriately qualified and experienced IT management organisation to provide day to day IT support and maintenance. The objective of the contract is to ensure that the VPA’s IT systems and network support the current information management and communication needs of the organisation, and enable the VPA to continue to adopt new technology into the future. In particular it is expected that the contractor will facilitate an increase in the connectivity of VPA systems, enabling remote access and greater use of mobile devices. The IT services contract covers: IT helpdesk services from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday, with the ability to log jobs 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Helpdesk services may be a combination of on-site and remote services during business hours. Ongoing support, maintenance and development of the IT network, including planning and implementing hardware and software upgrades and other system improvements. This will require after hours work where necessary. Strategic IT advice and assistance, including technical input into the VPA’s IT strategy, IT solutions analysis, and developing and reviewing IT strategies and policies. The VPA is a statutory authority with approximately 90 staff located at Level 25, 35 Collins Street, Melbourne. All hardware and software in the IT environment is owned by VPA, and is located at the Collins Street office.
