The City wishes to undertake a trial of Technologies that embrace the concept of “Smart City’s” with the goal being to prepare for a renewable energy future, become more predictive in relation to waste collection and collect traffic and pedestrian movement to enable better planning of CBD and major population areas. The move into IOT infrastructure and its role in the development of Geelong as a smart city, is an area the City has identified in its digital Geelong strategy. To establish the bona fides of a wider implementation, a pilot process is required. City of Greater Geelong is requesting submissions from vendors who are able to source “best of Breed” solutions from diverse suppliers then project manage the installation and commissioning of these solutions providing a “one stop” for ongoing support and maintenance. All submissions to include ongoing maintenance and ongoing licensing (re-current) costs. There is a preference for all solution’s software to be “cloud based”. Ability to integrate into the existing Cisco Network infrastructure currently used by the City of Greater Geelong is essential.
