Accessible Buildings Program – Hearing Augmentation Equipment

Hearing augmentation systems consist of technology based equipment that enhances access to speaking and listening opportunities. This equipment may be stand-alone or provide an interface between audio-visual systems, classroom information communication technology and public address systems. Students with a hearing loss may be aided or unaided. Aids also known as Assistive Listening Device ALD may be; hearing aids, cochlear implants, personal FM systems or a combination of the above. Unaided students require hearing access via an external sound source within the learning space. The deliverables for this procurement include: • Supply and installation of equipment / works detailed in the scope and product specification as per the below within the required timeframe, subject to school availability (must comly with Australian Hearing Guidelines); • Product demonstration at time of installation; • Site drawings for all areas requiring installation works (if applicable); • 2 year product warranty on all products; and • Any ad hoc services for onging system support.
